A influência do Programa de Ingresso ao Ensino Superior - o PEIES, na atuação de professores de Química de Santa Maria - RS

Resumen
The city of Santa Maria / RS is the headquarters of the Federal University of Santa
Maria, an institution that offers opportunity for adolescents and young people of the city and
region to seek for a place in higher education. In this sense there is a strong action of the
schools of this city in order to push students to obtain places in public higher education, so
that many of these institutions replace the school curriculum programming scripts by the
programs of the ingression offered by the University. The insertion of these curricula in
schools can lead to changes in the way of teachers' work; therefore, the intention of this
research was to evaluate possible changes in the performance of the teaching of the discipline
of Chemistry in relation to the use of these curricula. This research presents as methodology
the study of case because it is a specific phenomenon of sharp and significant occurrence in
the city of Santa Maria / RS. Five teachers working in public schools in the city of Santa
Maria / RS were interviewed. From these lines were found four categories that represent the
influence of the PEIES curriculum in the performance of these teachers. The categories were:
entering the PEIES Program in schools; PEIES impact of the teaching-learning process; view
on the influence of PEIES in school, and teaching PEIES after insertion. Through these it was
possible to identify some points of influence in teaching this program, such as lack of time to
address the content, limited to lectures and unconcern with learning aimed only at assessing
the PEIES.
