O apoio do Centro de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS) na vida dos sujeitos que se encontran em vulnerabilidade social

Abstract

This article introduces the work performed in Reference Center for Social Assistance - CRAS SOUTH, in Sapucaia do Sul city, from January to June, 2012. This Center provides services and continued programs of assistance and social promotion offering basic social protection to families and individuals. The main goal of this article is to analyze the importance of CRAS to the Community in Sapucaia do Sul city. To meet the general goal was set the following specific objectives: to map the services provided by CRAS; identify the users profile and demonstrate the importance of the services provided by CRAS. By means of an exploratory research and descriptive, quantitative, was held a case study in a Públic Unit that embodies the right socio-welfare as the guarantee of access to the services of basic social protection preventing of risks situations of families, counting on 374 users. In this scenario it is observed that the goal is the development of needy communities through the joint with members in a way that they see themselves as subjects of rights and duties. By the results it was found that the users who are registered in the services offered by CRAS retake their studies or performing training courses. It is realized that their children are more motivate to go to school and have improved theis school performance. Facing to this, the study intents to identify the importance of the assistance and social promotion, aiming at awakening interest in readers for this activity.
