The objective of the study is to analyze the theoretical bases of the application and
the development of the business process management with the document
management in the section of protocol and archive of the Aeronautics Health Board.
The aim is to know the methods and tools of process management and document
management recommended in the literature, seeking to identify those that apply to
the needs of the section of protocol and archive. Then analyze the structure and
operation of section, considering its interrelations with the other Health Board
sectors. After these phases of study, it was possible to establish an interaction
between the theoretical references analyzed in order to identify improvements for
section of protocol. The study analyzes the business process management that has
been taking a prominent position as a management methodology in companies that
seek effectiveness and efficiency in their work processes. Aeronautics Health Board
as a federal public agency seeks to adapt its management practices to the current
competitive market in Brazil and in the World. It is pointed out as hypothesis of study
that the great problem in the operation of the section of protocol and archive, is the
lack of processes and procedures of documentary management standardized
according to the best practices and in line with the other areas. These conditions
could be achieved through the implementation of process management. The results
show the importance of BPM in the document management in section of protocol. At
the end it was possible to propose process modeling that allowed the visualization of
the existing flaws in the section activities. The need for continued maintenance of
existing programs and policies in the organization was perceived, as well as the
training and updating of the knowledge of the staff through courses and lectures.
