Uso inadequado de antibióticos e suas consequências ao SUS

Abstract

This text addresses the issue of irrational use / inappropriate use of antibiotics. The objective was to establish a discussion about the irrational use of drugs, focusing on antibiotics. Methodologically, we chose a qualitative, descriptive study bibliographical. The results indicate that the use of antibiotics has been increasing by inappropriate prescriptions for medication or practiced by the patient. Alongside increasing negative events resulting from abuse, especially the establishment of bacterial resistance. We conclude that educational measures about the correct use of antibiotics makes the treatment safe and effective, reducing the medication and preserving the health of the patient.
