Resumen
Understand how to articulate the mental health services, particularly network alcohol and other drugs, together with professionals from the territory constitutes an important indicator for mental health care and the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform. This study is a qualitative research method is exploratory-in which the data was collected through focus group with ten employees of a Health Strategy for the Family of St. Mary-Rio Grande do Sul, in 2011. Data were analyzed by qualitative analysis of the themes which emerged. The results showed that the fragmentation of mental health services is a limiting factor to the composition of a network of care, and access by users. The barriers to user access are determined by the difficulty of care in health care and reproduction of the hegemonic model that prioritizes referrals to specialized services. Moreover, insufficient qualification for networking signals limitations of care to act according to the assumptions and guidelines of the current politic, pointing to the need for matrix support in mental health. It is noteworthy in this study the importance of rethinking the care practices in order to (re) organize the way services are structured in order to compose a network of mental health care.
