Resumen
Noise pollution is the serious environmental problem, whose presence is not con-fined to large urban centers, but inserted so unsuspicious in the classroom. It is a con-stant threat to HUMANS. The harmfulness of noise is directly related to its frequency spectrum, the intensity of sound pressure, the direction of daily exposure, as well as in-dividual susceptibility. Although there is specific legislation governing the limits on noise emissions and establish measures to protect the community from the harmful effects of noise pollution, what is evident is that the noise levels, existing in various daily activities, including the school, are above all the values determined by legislation. Awareness of the population, especially the school about the problem, combined with other measures of prevention, education and rehabilitation, would be a valuable contribution to the re-duction of noise and health problems arising from it.
