Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the importance of correct completion of hospital documentation and its reflection in revenues and defrayal of the institutions. The importance of medical records as a legal tool for assessing the quality of care provided to patients, as vital information for the institution as a legal basis, and for other health professionals. This study contributes to the teaching, research and evaluation of the quality of care provided by the institution, since the documents are standardized and for the registration and control of patient care by the health service.
