Investimento em educação e a sua relação com o Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica – IDEB: um estudo de São Leopoldo - RS

Abstract

The analysis of the investments in education of the Municipality of São Leopoldo aims to evaluate the advances in this area and also to know its efficiency in relation to the expected and achieved objectives, as well as its influence on the indexes of the IDEB between the period of 2013 to 2017. This study aimed to analyze the effects of investments with education measured by the data of the IDEB between the years of 2013 to 2017. For that, a quantitative research was carried out based on secondary data in order to reach the proposed objective. The research was carried out on the website of the Court of Accounts of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in the transparency portal of the Municipality of São Leopoldo and also on the Qedu website. The results indicated that the quality of education is not restricted to numbers alone, but rather to financial support, improvement and maintenance of the physical network, pedagogical didactic materials, especially technological ones, access to the internet network and educational management and continuing teacher training.
