Abstract

Abstract - This is a review article that deals with hypertension in public health, this disease that affects a large population and is directly linked to lifestyle of the people who have, directly interfering with the individual , Their families and society in which they live. In this article, we describe the main risk factors related to hypertension, family and social changes resulting from this disease and the strategies of health services in coping with this disease. We conclude that hypertension is now become a public health problem and the actions of prevention and treatment must be intensified focus on social and cultural context of the users.
