Resumen
The present investigation shows the studies ad results of a Project in Design of Textile Surface,
having as referential the cheetah fabric, where the print served as basis in the creation
of a fashion collection. For so, the research based itself in the adaptation of methodologies
from Bruno Munari (1998) and Bernard Löbach (2001) as referential tools in the project step.
To reach the objective, simultaneously with the creative process and the generation of alternatives,
it was done the research around three distinctive lines: the (i) first approaches
the cheetah history and describes its characteristics, which were used as reference in the
creative process; the (ii) second treats about the contents on the designmultidisciplinarity,
relating the graphic with surface design and fashion; to finish (iii), the realization of a research
about textile surface, fabric properties and textile beneficial methods. In the results, it
is evidenced that the adaptation of methodologies from the draws based in photographic
referential, following the same visual language which compounds a print collection, with
the features associated to cheetah where some were applied in pieces of clothing. The prototypes
obtained are presented in four lines of prints which are: Calendula, Poppy, Lily and Hibiscus.
