Resumen
The transient stability in distribution systems has received special interest due to the continuous increase of the distributed generation connected to the network. Besides the dynamic behavior of the generation system, distribution networks have extensive branches, uneven charges and a specific set of equipment that complicate the numerical analysis of the transient stability. This complexity increases the need for a specific analysis way in the time domain of the distribution systems, where the following contributions are highlighted: Network simplification technique to transient stability studies, creating a representative model for dynamic analysis; Selection criteria of the bus for simulations, considering protection devices that are typical in distribution systems; Representation of dynamic models with specific parameters to distributed generation in distribution networks; Assessment of single-pole operation of protection equipment in distribution systems; Control systems adjustments in unstable conditions. The proposed methodology has shown to be efficient and important to the distribution systems with distributed generation assessment, and its usage is presented in a real network usage.
