This article shows some of the results of the construction of a radio in the state elementary school Marcelo Gama, in the county of Restinga Seca in Rio Grande do Sul, as a resource to enhance the pedagogical practice of elementary education as a means of disseminating information about the school environment, regional news, of music and themes of actuality, besides of taking entertainment to interval time. In this opportunity, we present reflections about the studied subject, in which the goal is present alternative that demonstrate the benefit of the creation and use of this media in daily of the classroom and consequently in the school environment. The used methodology involves a literature review and the pedagogical propose in a state school in use and production of activities in order to development in the student responsibility , capacity for synthesis , interpretation , team spirit , critical thinking and authored and co-authored by drawing the guidelines to be worked out and announced on the radio school. The main conclusion drawn from this study concerns the possibility of inserting the radio as a resource to support the educational process, providing significant changes in the involvement of students and teachers in the construction of knowledge through a new form of interaction with the object of study/knowledge.
