dc.description.abstract | This qualitative research was developed during the Specialization Course in Educational
Administration at UFSM with the objective of investigating the formation of the Visual Arts
educator considering the knowledge this professional has on educational policies, teacher
formation and educational administration and know the role of the Visual Arts teacher as a
member of this administration. The subjects were professors and students of the Visual Arts
Course, CAL/UFSM. The data collection was developed during the year of 2007 with
questionnaires, analysis of documents and field diary as instruments. The data were
interpreted according to the following categories: educational policies, educational
administration, teacher formation, which were discussed considering the theoretical
foundation selected to support the research. The reference is constituted by Barbosa (1998,
2002, 2006), Ferreira (2001), Libâneo (2004), Lück (2006), Pimentel (1999), Penna (2001,
2003), Rosa (2005). This study pointed that the subjects know about the existence of laws,
educational policies and administration, but just some of them really understand this
documents, showing that it is necessary to give more importance to these points during the graduation and even in the schools. It was also observed that there is difficulty of the student in relation to teaching. | |
