A evolução do comércio Brasil – União Europeia: uma análise das vantagens comparativas no período de 2007 a 2017

The objective of this work is to analyze the structure and importance of trade between Brazil and the European Union, to investigate the comparative advantages in trade and the opportunities that trade offers for Brazil. For this purpose, competitiveness indicators were used, which showed which products have the greatest export potential and were strategic for the expansion of this relationship. These products are largely primary, with low added value, such as the Food, Fumes and Beverages, Non-Metallic Minerals and Minerals product groups, which already form the basis of Brazilian exports. An alternative to the potential European market focuses on the expansion of manufactured products, precisely seeking to diversify the region's export tariff, which is still very concentrated. However, for this, there must be public and private investments in the productive sectors, precisely seeking greater innovative capacity.
