Resumen
This article presents a case study on the use of the printing press in the pedagogical practices of a literacy class in a public school in the city of Cachoeira do Sul / RS . The resource utilization of print media newspaper had as main objective to diagnose the perspectives and methodological approaches that can be articulated in the teaching- learning process at different levels of literacy and literacy . The methodology used was qualitative research considering the analysis of the natural environment as a direct source of data, divided into three stages and their respective analyzes . The survey data were obtained from observations against practical interventions in classes where the notes indicated that most students had a significant interaction and the stimulus given to the use of this media , the response was positive , creating alternative concrete learning the process of literacy and literacy was supported by the possibilities that the printed newspaper used appropriately to literacy levels and consistency with the reality of learners , aiming at a better use of resources and media in education .
