Incentivos no Brasil para o uso do software livre

Abstract

This present study aims to identify and show incentives to use of free software (SL) which makes it an economical alternative to using proprietary software. The theoretical referential used is the Free Software history and characteristics, as well as the mode of production of knowledge and development by Private-Collective investment. As the financial incentive is still a determining factor, the paper presents an analysis of the existing literature, with the laws of incentives and development by sharing culture. Intellectual property will be treated here as one of the decisive factors, in which some people believe is a barrier and others defend as an incentive, and copyright and copyleft involved in this issue.
