dc.description.abstractNoting the constant growth of the energy sector, to perceive the need for viable ways that result in alteration of this energy square. Therefore this study seeks monitor energy expenditure of existing in homes by social housing programs. The work outlines the analysis of energy consumption during a period a group of social interest housing units in the municipality of Campos Borges and development of task count on the support of research in the field visiting with families to gather information. The evaluation of the prototype under study presents the average consumption of a class in hatching in Brazil who customarily uses materials and unfavorable environmental conditions and physical comfort. With the help of the housing program the beneficiary could purchase more powerful equipment that were not foreseen in the project resulting in system overhead and increased energy bills. In Brazil the demand for electricity in the residential sector is significant and growing. The savings potential of this sector is relevant mitigation can reach 23% when undergoing internal changes as equipment replacement and changing habits and 50% if a new building is designed with new technologies. The study aims to identify the consumer and contribute to the reduction of energy social housing, with simple actions that they can collaborate on firmer adherence and positive measures to conserve electricity.
