Resumen
This master thesis is about a study carried out in the context of the Training, Knowledge and Professional Development Research Line (Linha de Pesquisa Formação, Saberes e Desenvolvimento Profissional) of the Master's Program in Education (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação) at the Federal University of Santa Maria (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria). This master thesis aimed to investigate how the digital culture is inserted in the initial formative processes of teachers for Basic Education in the graduation courses of UFSM. The specific objectives of the research were: to identify what the Nacional Curricular Guidelines, created by the Normative Resolution number 02/2015, present regarding the national standards of initial teacher education for Basic Education concerning digital culture; to analyse in the official documents of the institution if the digital culture has been approached in the formative proposals of the graduations of the UFSM; to verify the existence of academic disciplines offered in the UFSM graduation courses focusing on digital culture; to recognize with what perspective the digital culture is being deepened in theory and practice from the academic disciplines; and aimed to find out if there are indicators on the changes needed to meet the new National Curricular Guidelines in relation to basic education in digital culture. The research consisted twenty-three graduation courses of UFSM. It was a qualitative research in education, with a documental approach, and the information was sought through a bibliographic study for theoretical foundation, research and documentary analysis, the resulting information being analyzed through textual discursive analysis. Regarding the theoretical approach, subjects such as digital culture, National Curricular Guidelines, teacher knowledge, teacher training, common national basic curriculum and institutional organization documents were verified: Institutional Pedagogical Project, Institutional Development Plan and Pedagogical Course Project. Regarding the results of the research, we highlight some specificities of the digital culture present in the study, such as: graduation courses that present some curricular discipline for the digital culture and others do not. And, according to the curricular academic disciplines located, some are entirely geared to the specificities of the digital culture and others contain teaching units that harmonize specific knowledge of the area of formation with some specificity of the digital culture.
