The unbridled consumption of nonrenewable resources, the consumption of the
emerging capitalist system that puts large populations the margins of poverty by
consuming less power, this whole issue makes today's society requires citizens more
involved, aware and responsible for half in which they live. In this sense, environmental
education can incorporate a social inclusion perspective for social subjects, allowing the
teacher to establish a contextualized and critical pedagogical practice, which explains
the structural problems of our society through popular education, education with a
Transdisciplinarity and holism, this is an education without the fragmentation of
knowledge that has connection with other disciplines and daily life of students. And
eco-pedagogy that can be instrumental in building the economic, political, social and go
to the company environmentally friendly attitudes and values. Educators to use ecopedagogy
as a way of training students to live in society, and by inserting in the same
environment they live in order to improve the quality of community life.This paper
discusses how developed the implementation of the subproject Architects of Learning
State School Elementary School Honorato de Souza Santos, whose goal was to
demonstrate how environmental education can serve as a tool for social inclusion in the
community of the steps from the sand, city of Cachoeira South
The methodology used is a case study, to which a questionnaire was open to students
parents and teachers of the Honorato de Souza Santos and even a desk study in the
Department of Labor and Social Welfare of the municipality.
If found that Environmental Education, Popular Education and Ecopedagogy although
not included in the school curriculum Honorato de Souza Santos are present in all
subjects after the implementation of the subproject Architects of Learning, teachers
have a good qualifying facilitate the understanding of students and that there were
changes in the routine of school through workshops, lectures and visits to the Federal
University of Santa Maria. Students at the school Honorato de Souza Santos located
steps from the sand in the municipality of Cachoeira do Sul did not participate in full of
the Bolsa Familia and the parents of most of them work in logging.
