The hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) is a therapeutic modality with healing potential for a diversity of hematologic diseases, oncologic diseases and genetic abnormalities. The main objective is the substitution of an altered hematopoietic system for a normal system. It is divided in autologous, allogenic and syngeneic, depending on the origin of yours cells. Despite the healing potential, the HSCT is an aggressive procedure that provokes serious physical and psychologic side effects to the patient, who needs of a long outpatient monitoring after the hospital discharge. The goal of this study was characterize the patients served in a post HSCT ambulatory that were interviewed by the group of the multiprofessional residence with focus on hematology/oncology. The data analyzed was from the search in electronic records, in the period of March of 2016 to December of 2016. It was interviewed 21 patients and the majority was of the feminine sex (57,1%). The average age was 54,09 years old. The most part (61,9%) of the patients live in central region of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). The marital status more prevailing was married (38,1%). The level of schooling found was low, being the majority no schooling and incomplete primary school (23,8%). The disease of base more frequent was the multiple myeloma (52,4%). The HSCT autologous was the predominant (71,4%). The complication post HSCT more usual was the recurrence of the disease (28,6%). All the recurrences happened post HSCT autologous. The knowledge of the patient profile post HSCT is important in the evaluation of the service provided to these patients and in the elaboration of assistance strategies.
