Resumen
When we elaborate this monograph, we draw a dialog between the Public School, in its capitalist form, and the Physical Education. We aim to understand the function of Physical Education in the basic formation of students that constituted the bases of (re)production of capital in the course of development of Brazilian society. Therefore, we draw a methodological path that followed a theoretical and methodological investigation, ruled in the Marxist philosophy – theory of historical materialism – by dialectical method. Our theoretical construction followed two moments. In the first, we treat about the function and organization of the conjuncture of education and the Brazilian public school in the historical movement. In the second, we situate the Physical Education place in this context, presenting and understanding the role of the pedagogical treatment in Body Culture in the schooling process and basic formation of students to provide continuity to the capital (re)production. In the final considerations, we pondered the role of schooled knowledge of the Physical Education in the basic formation of students for the capital (re)production, was linked to a historical project of society lined by bourgeois ideological principles, in which demanded too much attention in the care with the body education and, with the historical movement and with the changes in the world of work, was becoming supporting in the instrumentalization required to the capitalist mode of production, because had limited the access to Body Culture by virtue of the limits desired to the productive force. Lastly, the Public School and Physical Education composes a social totality, relate to the whole in the form of adequacy and mediation to the demands of capital.
