Resumen
The report for Nursing Care (SAE) is a given activity exclusively by the nurse in order to manage and develop with quality and competence patient care. This study aimed to analyze the obstacles and prospects for implementation of the NAS from the perspective of nurses. This is a literature review of research. The study took place from May to November 2014. We looked for publications in LILACS database (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences), NURSING and Electronic Journal of Nursing, published in the last years, they were in Portuguese, Spanish and English; and that addressed the issue of SAE. It was evident that the SAE still requires great effort of professionals, which showed a number of obstacles to its implementation, as scarcity and little commitment of some professionals, service overload, lack of knowledge about the SAE and the need for ongoing formation. But it should be noted that professionals also highlight the SAE as a tool to provide greater autonomy and quality in nursing care.
