Construindo a linha de cuidado do paciente oncológico paliativo em um município do interior do Rio Grande do Sul: relato de intervenção

Given the estimated new cancer cases, the large number of deaths, the confidence that the team of primary care can be instrumental in patient care and achieving cancer palliative care line, the aim of the paper is to report the intervention performed by the Primary Health Care network of a town in RS, to identify the needs of health professionals in the intervention compared to those patients. This is the story of the intervention with health professionals linked to teams of Basic Health Units and Family Health Strategy in the west of the city, as well as their agents and health professionals Community Unit Ready attendance. The intervention was conducted in four moments. First held a pre-diagnosis through empirical observation of residents, then a diagnosis by an instrument with semi-structured questions and that substantiated the third time, it was a meeting for improvement exchange of knowledge between professionals and Primary Care hospital. The last time was the assessment made by the participating professionals to understand the effectiveness of the intervention. With this study we can see the interest of professionals to get involved in the context of a palliative cancer patient, the exchange of experiences offered to professionals, encouraging effective articulation in the line of care. Gaps provide intervention brought about by new studies on cancer patients in palliative care line with lines.
