This work sought to know how school management is planned in the Pedagogical Project of José de Anchieta Elementary School, located in the rural area of the municipality of Soledade-RS. The case study was based on the following problematization: how is school management planned in the Pedagogical Project (PP), how was it constructed, what are the challenges to improve it according to educational needs, how is it reformulated and what are are the challenges for the PP to guide the educational pedagogical actions? Regarding the construction of this document, we analyzed its construction and structure, what are the challenges to improve it according to educational needs. To this end, the case study was carried out. Initially, the Pedagogical Project (PP) pwas conceptualized and based on the literature the analysis of the same was carried out. In the course of the study, the need to evaluate, revise and retake the Pedagogical Project is discussed and finalized discussing school management and the challenges to improve it and make it, more and more, an instrument that guides school actions.
