Gestão escolar e família: implicações no processo educativo em uma escola municipal de Novo Hamburgo (RS)

The present study has the objective of analyzing the relation among school management and family and its consequences in the educational process in a Municipal school in Novo Hamburgo (RS). The research of case study type was composed by eleven collaborators: three teachers and eight parents. It was chosen the qualitative approach, being applied the survey with open questions. To the interpretation of the information, it was used simple categorization, approximated to the analysis of the content, being highlighted the following categories: Partnership working; schooling of the parents; school performance of the children; role of the family; relationship family-school; school management; cooperation, school and society; family and education and family in school. It became necessary to know which the distresses of the parents facing the school and also which the distresses of the educators in relation to the family attention to their children/pupil. It was looked for theoretical support to define family, democracy, participation and democratic management. It was observed that the positions are different as to what the educators expect from the family involvement and as to the feeling of this participation in eye of the parents. It was concluded that the families need a bigger involvement in relation to the participation in the teaching-learning process of their children. Since the school should be more opened, worrying about alternatives to favor the parents participation. Among the proposals, it is found the realization of projects developed in a cooperative way, between family and school, which indicate the construction of a proper identity to the institution, in accordance with the society in which it is inserted, that consequently will develop a quality democratic education.
