dc.description.abstract | A catalog of relative emission-line intensities is presented. It contains data on 215 H II regions in the Galaxy, Magellanic Clouds and in others galaxies, all totaling 23 140 emission line intensities. We have determined electron density and temperature for 11 Galactic objects with galactocentric distances (R) between 6.4 and 17.9 kpc using the emission-lines intensities catalogued. We also determined Ar, Cl, Ne, N, O and S abundances from collisionally excited lines and the He abundances from recombination lines. We analysed the gradient of (O/H), (S/H) e (N/H) across the Galactic disc. We find abundances that decrease with increasing R. We derive the gradients: log(O/H) + 12 = 9.14 − 0.063R, log(S/H) + 12 = 7.45 − 0.063R and log(N/H) + 12 = 7.94 − 0.048R. Our Galactic abundance gradients are consistent with those from previous recent works of H II regions in the Galactic plane, excepting the (N/H) gradient that differs significantly from other works. | |
