Eficiência energética aplicada em sistemas de iluminação pública – estudo de caso na cidade de Garopaba – SC

Abstract

Among the fundamental factors for the economical development of a region it is the public lighting, which today is performed by application of different technologies. The lack of standardization in this sector results in waste of energy, due to the application of several models of low-efficiency lamps. This work presents a study of energy efficiency in public lighting systems. Initially, it is evaluated the public lighting development and the applied technologies, together the technical information and energy consumption. Following, it is showed the current incentive programs to rationalize energy, and the concept about Municipal Energy Management, in order to understand how the country is behaving according to your economic growth. As an alternative proposal of efficient technology, LED luminaires are studied, concluding with the feasibility analysis of the possible retrofit of the current lamps used by public lighting in the street Rua Prefeito João Orestes de Araújo, Central Avenue of the city Garopaba, Santa Catarina.
