The study realized had focused on the development of a Folding Screen Collection,
named Indian Print, directed to textile print. The blinds have as theme the Hindu’s
symbols and Hindi culture, that even dislocated of your own context, have a
important presence in modernity and in Occident. In the course of the study were
reviewed the most pertinent cultural aspects, related to Hindi society, such as culture,
art, colors and religious symbols. Such references demonstrated potential application
on the creation of alternatives to print of decorative folding screens, setting up as an
option differentiated regarding to demand of the area. The methodology employed in
the project of creation design’s surfaces based on mostly in Frascara (2000) and
sought to highlight the evolution of ideas and images to implement the stage
methodological during the development of the project. The solutions in printing
emphasize the contrast figure-background, with use of a colors palette characteristic
of Hindi culture in contrast to the black. Thus, to end the work, exploring elements of
Hinduism symbolism, returned to a collection of prints in tissue for blinds, consist for
the lines Biombos Lótus, Biombos OM, Biombos Terceiro-olho and Biombos Ganesh.
The results show a versatile final product and differential of the models in the market.
