Abstract

This paper addresses the practical application of the guidelines of the International Maritime Organization concerning Energy efficiency in ships. The focus of this work are the vessels used in support of offshore oil production services. Initially the main ship propeller used by these vessels and the sequel to the guidelines of international maritime authority for the Ship Energy Efficiency Management - SEEMP and Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator- EEOI.
