The present work aims to bring contributions to teaching physical education in
the Indian context, and its theoretical basis-critical surpassing vision, seeking to
bring that advances our reference points to the indigenous context. The
elements of the historicity of Brazilian indigenous question will be posed as a
way to understand the whole process of education has developed in this
context, since the indigenous education that does not use the school, until the
arrival of the schooling system. The vision of overcoming of class society will be
present as the only way to get an education that meets the interests of the
oppressed classes.
