As contribuições da perspectiva democrática na gestão escolar em uma escola municipal de São José do Inhacorá/RS

This study proposed to analyze how the School Management in a democratic perspective has been thought of in in a municipal school of São José do Inhacorá/RS. The intention was to investigate the contributions of the democratic perspective in School Management in a way that makes possible alternatives that establish more visibility for the importance of collective participation in the actions and practices developed in the school context. The investigated group was consisted by eighteen members of the school's School Community, in which, through a questionnaire, they answered questions directed to the understandings about School Management and Democratic Management and to the projects School Parque and School Classe, considering the organizational profile of the researched school. After the questionnaires collection and analysis, we can infer that among suggestions and indications, all emphasized the importance of thinking and discussing collectively actions so that, in fact, we can implement in the school, practices focused on the principles of Democratic Management. In addition, we can see that there is restlessness, on part of all segments of the School Community about the effectiveness of these practices. We believe that a first step is to clarify with the school community group what are the meanings of the School Management actions necessary to effect the Democratic Management in the school. From this first routing, we saw that the participation can become more effective and collective in the school Pedagogical Project construction, as well as it will allow more autonomy, dialogues and cooperative work, aimed at a common goal, defined in the collective construction of the Pedagogical Project.
