Efecto de las remesas sobre la decisión de participación laboral en Risaralda 2009

This document is intended to analyse the impact of remittances on the decision of individuals to participate in the labour market in Risaralda, from a probit model estimation, using information from the project on Latin American Migration (LAMP) for four areas of the Risaralda. The results indicate that the receipt of remittances negatively influences labor participation, declining the intention of participating individuals by 5%. This behavior is that the economy of households, fact which leads to a change in conduct economic and labour will suffer directly to international events such as those recorded in the year 2008, who at once relied on them, which can be reflected in an increase in participation.
