This article aims to discuss the private collective certification and its use in the differentiation of beef meat. It was realized a content analysis of the websites of two breeders associations that have a quality meat programs: Certified Angus Beef (PCAC) and Nelore Natural (PQNN). The results showed a difference between these two programs, to know: the PCAC has two certification bodies, one of second and a third part, while the PQNN has only one of the second part. Both associations maintain similar communications channels containing pages designed to explanations about certification programs and characterization of their respective races.
