Resumen
In his book 1984, George Orwell presents a dystopia that denounces the ills of totalitarianism and the restriction of freedom. This article is a essay with the objective of discussing the progress of privatization processes in the field of education and the current relationship between public and private. It is pointed out that the current 'Big Brother' is the Market and that the processes of privatization are taking place in a context of expropriation of the right to education and putting in check the perspective and ideal of universality of education.
