THE LOVE RELATIONSHIP THE HOOK UP FROM THE &ITHABITUS&IT AND LIFE TRAJECTORY OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract

The hook up is a loving relationship characterized by short duration of time, lack of commitment, and involvement with various partners. The objective of this research was to investigate the hook up through the habitus and the life trajectory of the young people. The methodology is qualitative and the data collection was performed through the semi-structured interview; for that, were interviewed young people between 18 and 30 years of age, of both genders, graduating from the Pedagogy course of a Public University in the interior of the State of Sao Paulo. The theoretical reference of Pierre Bourdieu gave light to the interpretation of the data obtained. The results of the research reveal that hook up is a short-term relationship, with no ties and commitment, being represented from the act of kissing to a pre-dating state. Also, it is concluded that it is part of the habitus of young people the experience of this relationship.
