Resumen
this paper, we seek to demonstrate how the Social Psychology can serve the interests of Discourse Analysis, given the reflections that it promotes on the content and on the functions performed by some stereotypes that are presents in the discourses, including some important clarification on how certain stereotypes may collaborate for the maintenance of social inequality. To achieve this goal, we initially present some theses developed within the framework of Social Psychology, highlighting the Theory of System Justification; after that, we use them to assess stereotypes present in two distinct types of discourses, which allows us to reveal no-obvious aspects of these discourses. So, the results confirm the relevance of this theoretical exchange.
