The axiological dimension has been considered an important educational content, especially to treat certain themes, such as environmental issues. This dimension, then, gets evident in the environmental issues when what is proposed is the construction of new forms of relationship between society and nature, as they are guided in the prevailing values in society today and for changes to occur in this relationship, it is necessary also a change in values. That is why education must sign in to fill the gaps left by this social pattern that was built and, along with it, goes the formation of environmental educators, that will be responsible for bringing such complex topics into the classroom. In this context, and realizing that the teachers are not trained to work directly with values, which this paper is to discuss about the relationship between the formation of environmental educators with environmental education and values and their limitations.
