IRONY, PARODY AND COUNTERPOINT: A VIEW OF LUIS FERNANDO VERISSIMO'S CHRONICLES

Abstract

It is intended by this paper to produce an assessment about Luis Fernando Verissimo's chronicles production focusing on the author's texts published on the second semester of 2008 in the newspaper O Estado de Sao Paulo. In order for this to happen, it will be done an analysis of three of the published chronicles: Em branco, Dentes and A alegria do ladrao de galinha, highlighting, particularly, aspects as irony, parody and counterpoint.
