Resumen
This work deals with the curriculum organization of the Geography teachers' education course at Santiago de Compostela University (USC, Spain) and at Universidade Estadual Paulista, Campus Rio Claro (UNESP-RC, Sao Paulo, Brazil). We have analyzed the curriculum, course programs and several documents. Our observations indicate that a simplicistical comparison between both institutions is anachronic, since they have different structures and contexts. However, it is possible to indicate some approaches: the need of promoting links between teaching and research as well as between the disciplines that have a specific content and the ones with a didactic-pedagogical nature.
