Resumen
The present document studies the expenditure of the Colombian economy in the period of 1968-2007. An analysis of the demand elasticity associated with the bulk of total consumption of the representative Colombian is presented in this document; specifically Marshallians and Hicksians own and crossed Price elasticities, in addition to expenditure elasticities; through an Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS), under Seemingly Unrelated Regressions (SUR). The use of the demand theory facilitates to evaluate the conduct of the consumers and their reaction caused by changes in prices and income.
