Resumen
The structure of the 1: 2 adduct of hexamethylenetetramine and thiaurea was
reanalyzed reinterpreting X-ray diffractian data and providing additianal IR and
NMRspectrascapic features. The praduct is thus described as supramalecular
commensurate host-guest complex carresponding ta the intercalatian of
hexamethylenetetramine in a layered thiaurea matrix. FT-IR spectra evidence a
simultaneaus strengthening of bath C-N and C-S bands, that appearing as a pattern
characteristic for described layered thiourea matrix. 13CPMAS-NMRspectra of the
intercalated hexamethylenetetramine 15 essentially determined by nuclear dipolar
magnetic interactions and hast-guest chemical interactions arising from 13C-14N
residual dipolar interactian not averaged to zero by MAS-NMRand from the
magnetic nan-equivalence of the guest carban atoms caused by the hydrogen
bonding interaction with the thiourea matrix .
