El uso de códigos geopolíticos por parte del gobierno de Hugo Chávez hacia Colombia entre 2008 y 2010

Abstract

This research attempts to explain the influence of the Five Geopolitical Codes developed by Colin Flint in the design and behavior of the foreign policy of Venezuela to Colombia between the years 2008 to 2010. Different political, military, commercial, geostrategic and diplomatic junctures between Álvaro Uribe and Hugo Chávez governments, allowed the use strategies based in the use of “Smart Power” by Venezuela´s government during the period described above.
