La sociedad del conocimiento y su impacto en el mercado accionario en Colombia

Accelerated development experienced in recent years, ICT has generated fundamental transformation processes in human relations, the economy, culture, politics and even customs. Taking as a starting point the concept of Manuel Castells (2002), which States that the revolution of the ICT given its capacity of penetration in the whole area of human activity, including the obtaining of knowledge, it is the entry point to analyze the complexity of the new economy, society and culture in training,(( this research project aims to: i) determine the impact that the knowledge society in the stock market in Colombia and ii) establish why it considered the stock market as a speculative market. The document begins with a theoretical framework in which discusses concepts that respond to two different traditions of thought: the information society and the knowledge society, and dealt with the central features that currently define them; analyzing the transformations that led to its origin and the mode in which an attempt to unify their properties under a single term. Then is a contextualization of the stock market in Colombia by a description of its principal participants and the characteristics of each of them. Later described the impact that the main indexes used in the stock market and lastly a description becomes from various authors with regard to the concept of speculation.
