Resumen
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the geopolitical implications of China's energy foreign policy in Central Asia. Thus, it analyses the role of energy resources in the geopolitical dynamics that are occurring within the Central Asian region and the influence of the great powers in the zone. Taking into account the geopolitical theory Saul Bernard Cohen, this paper argues that China's approach through its energy foreign policy, has helped to transform Central Asia into a shatterbelt, because of its intention to exercise influence and control over resources in the region.
