Threats such as Syria, Iran and the PKK were relevant when the alliance between Turkey and Israel were forged in the mid-nineties. The sign of several agreements in the military field strengthened the safety bilateral relations. However, the arrival of a new government in Turkey in 2002 led to a change in the foreign policy, especially with Israel. The monograph supported under the postulates of the Theory of Balance of Threats concluded that the rupture of the alliance was given for the change of Turkish security foreign policy, the blockade of Gaza by Israel in 2008 and the Gaza Flotilla raid in 2010, leading to a transformation in the military agreements reached by both countries for their security and stability in the Middle East.
