Objective: asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways; the prevalence has been increase in the past few years, affecting mostly children, causing detriment on their quality life and development. Treatments are based on steroids inhaled treatments, wish generate variable response in each individual. We want to determinate which is the clinical response in our patients and the relation between this and 20 variables, including environmental factors, family or personal aspects. Materials and methods: observational study of transversal cut. 93 patients was evaluated between 6 and 15 years old, whit mild persistent or moderate persistent asthma diagnostic, who recipe Beclomethasone treatment for 4 weeks, after that, they assist to control in Clínica Infantil Colsubsidio between august and October 2009, results was analyze using description of population by percentage and obtain of OR with an interval of certain of 95% for variables evaluation. Results: base in 93 patients, with a media of 8.5±2.5 years and more frequent genus male (58.1%). Initial diagnostic: mild asthma 75.3% and moderate asthma of 24.7%. did not control in 69.9% of the children, no significant statistic difference between the risk factors and gender difference whit clinical answer. Conclusions: patients with mild asthma and moderate asthma than received monotherapic Beclomethasone treatment, present a 69.9% of no control of the illness, been necessary optimize in all cases the treatment for finally obtain control. There is not significant evidence in the study variables as factors than modify the clinical answer.
