This work presents an application of the structural analysis of the strategic sectors model (AESE) and the prospective analysis model for the hotel sector. In particular, we studied the boutique hotels located in Bogota for a 5 year period. These kind of models consider available internal and external financial information of the firm, and general features of the sector s economy. The research was developed in two stages corresponding to the models: AESE and prospective analysis. For the AESE, there were used the four tools of the model: quantitative and qualitative overcrowding analysis, execution of the competitive scenario, market forces diagnoses and competitors study. In the prospective analysis we applied different methodologies of MICMAC, MACTOR y SMIC where future alternative scenarios were determined based on the influence of different agents and social, political, technological and economic issues on the sector.
