Resumen
Assuming that there is a tendency from the public and Academy to relate the idea of revolution with purely left- wing processes, this is an attempt to understand the term as a concept and metaphor in order to keep it away from the ideological polarization. Therefore, during this research the political concepts and its metaphorical relationship are approached by some basic theoretical principles: Koselleck’s idea about the history of concepts and Blumenberg’s idea that many fundamental concepts are powerful because they are metaphors at its basis. Later, we see how the different political positions have adopted or rejected the idea of revolution as part of their political projects. Finally, the case of fascism is presented as a key stage to check the significance of the concept and the implications of its use in discursive and practical terms.
