Resumen
The LGBT acronym can be understood as an articulation of discursive elements about gender and sexuality. In Colombia, social movements are accountable for the development of such category. The main objective of this dissertation is to analyse some meanings of gender and sexuality articulated under LGBT significant, while acknowledging such meanings are not unequivocal. In order to do so, I analysed how different meanings about gender and sexuality, and different forms of subjectivity, have been articulated through collective action. First chapter consists in a brief history of gender and sexuality social movements in Colombia, using secondary sources. Second and third chapter introduce individual and group stories from two organizations in Bogotá: Colectivo León Zuleta and Colectiva Lobas Furiosas. Drawing on semi structured interviews, I examined how some of their collective meanings about gender and sexuality are similar to those articulated under LGBT significant, but also distant and even contradictory in other cases.
