The purpose of this research is explain the role of the Asymmetric Interdependence of Russia and Ukraine in the quality of Ukrainian democracy 2004-2010; current democracies can be affected by external actors given the proliferation of asymmetric economic relations between states, this can be studied by the field of International Relations. The case of study will be address from the concept of Quality of Democracy formulated by Leonardo Morlino and Internationalization by Robert Keohane and Helen Milner. The Orange Revolution, the gas crisis in 2006 and 2009 until 2010 elections, will aim to be explained. From a neoinstitutional focus, it is possible that asymmetry relations of Ukraine to Russia affect the quality of Ukrainian democracy
